Image-editing
Taught in German
Modern digital tools make it easier to work more efficiently – software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop allows the rapid creation of patterns in a range of different design fields. Vector-based designs are freely scalable and a range of different colour variations can be created on the spot. Photoshop makes it possible to isolate, process, repeat, and distort image elements. The designs can be used for visualisation, for the creation of textiles and other materials, and in the fashion industry. In order to use such programs basic skills are required; these are taught in this module in addition to the basics of pattern design.
