Colour designers possess extensive knowledge of colour effect and aesthetics and apply their expertise to such interesting fields as interior design. This specialisation will become a real selling point on your CV.
Specialised knowledge of colour design opens up new perpectives for trained professionals. Colour concepts will be applicable to e.g. graphic design, product development or interior design. Also, working as a colour designer on a freelance basis is increasingly becoming the norm.
The Colour Design course is designed to prepare graduates for the following scope of duties.
- Development and visualisation of colour concepts for apartments, business premises, and other special projects
- Colour consulting for clients
- Project implementation on site
- Basics and Tools: Visualisation, Concept Development, Colour Theory: Optics and Colour Classification
- Effect & Context: Style and Colour Epochs, Colour and Space, Colour Psychology
- Management & Communication: Colour theory: Colour design and aesthetics, colour and light, advisory techniques
- Practice & Implementation: Projects, Documentation and Exam Preparation

Bern and Zürich add. individual workshops on Saturdays.

Teaching materials are included in the tuition fees. Additional costs will apply for excursions.
A separate examination fee is charged for graduates of the Colour Design federal examination Level 1.
After the federal examination 50% of the tuition fees will be refunded to graduates by the federal government.
